Coffee is a type of tree in the genus coffea. On this tree, red colored coffee fruits grow. There are two beans inside the fruit. After the outer layer of the beans is removed and roasted, black coffee beans are obtained. The beans that are not roasted after processing are called green coffee. So, green coffee is known as raw and unroasted coffee beans. The taste of green coffee consumed hot is similar to herbal teas.
